This is how my UWA (Canon 10-22 USM) looked like after it fell off from my backpack at shoulder height into a concrete road just as we were starting off a hike to Nakulo Falls, Pagsanjan, Laguna... i have always been aware of the constant danger that we face whenever we set off to photoshoots where the terrain is always a challenge to get to... from the slippery steep slopes of mountains, to savage rivers and of course the dreaded "Tractor of Death!"... this is the first time a gear of mine had been damaged in our little adventures of ours...
makes one want to think do i really need to go to these length just to get a good photo?well... yeah! hahahahah!!!! Getting there is half of the fun... then challenging yourself to get the best shot that you can get to compensate for all your effort is a good way to feel that small fulfillment in you... so would we be doing it again anytime soon? Hell Yeah!!!
And besides... my UWA is still ok.. ^_____^
although my recently purchased and only used once Kenko Pro1 CPL Filter is dead beyond recovery... T_____T

sadly i think we lost more than my CPL Filter on that trip i hope its not permanent...
